Mango’s back view feels oddly familiar—almost like I’ve seen it somewhere before. His massive build is nearly identical to Munchie’s. With his thick body, wide dorsal, and flawless full pinning, Mango looks like a twin of Munchie, only differing in color.
At first, I classified Mango as a Yellow Bi. However, after seeing the offspring produced from pairing Mango with Aqua, I began to doubt that initial judgment. Looking back, it seems more accurate to say Mango falls somewhere between a Yellow Bi and a Flame morph. From the top view, you can clearly see just how substantial his size is. The little bit of side fat poking out is quite an adorable feature, too.
Overall, Mango displays a bright yellow coloration. Compared to Aqua’s deep and vivid yellow, Mango’s tone is much lighter and more transparent. I initially expected that by combining Aqua’s deep yellow with Mango’s lighter yellow, we would produce offspring that were either normal morphs with bicolor traits or Lily Whites with mid-tone yellow coloring. However, as mentioned earlier, the actual results were quite different from what I had anticipated.
Because Mango’s body is so brightly colored, it’s not immediately obvious, but he also shows a well-developed lateral wall. Typically, normal morphs tend to display darker tones, but Mango’s transparent, bright yellow looks almost out of place—like if he were in the wild, he would be an easy target for predators.
Moving forward, the focus of Mango and Aqua’s offspring will be all about color. I hope you’ll stay tuned for their unfolding story!
