Munchie is one of the first geckos I bought. She has made me believe that most. Cresties are as big and eat as well as she does. As her name suggests, Munchie is a great eater. Whether I give her a little or a lot, she always eats with gusto. Munchie has a large body and a gentle temperament. Even when she climbs onto me, she moves gracefully without using her claws.

She has the typical Crested Gecko appearance. On her lateral sides, she has a Harlequin pattern with a second-phase trait, and her dorsal pattern is broad but not filled in, showing an Empty Back trait. She also has a stunning full pin stripe running from her head to the top of her tail. Even her eyebrows are long and beautifully formed.

Lately, she doesn’t fire up as often, likely because she feels too comfortable in her home. Most of the time, she maintains a grayish hue, as shown in the picture above.

Munchie’s greatest advantage is her size. The reason I paired her with Snowball was that I wanted to see a very large Pure White Lily. Her impressive full pin stripe would pair beautifully with a Pure White. However, her traits are a bit different from the high-quality standard, which raises some concerns. If the high-quality standard is based on solid dorsal and complete coverage, the quad pattern and her dorsal traits could be seen as opposing factors. I’ll share the results of their pairing in the next story!
