This is our first hatchling, and it bears a striking resemblance to its father, Bobch. While the third trait is only partially expressed, the overall coloration is remarkably similar to its dad’s. Since it’s still young, its colors have a deep, rich quality that is quite striking.

From the moment it hatched, the tiger pattern has been beautifully defined. I often mention tiger patterns in my writings because I’m particularly fond of them, and this little one certainly doesn’t disappoint. Its strong, solid build and the early appearance of the third trait right after birth are especially impressive.

What’s fascinating is the way its colors are developing. The first trait is black, the second is orange, and the third is white, which follows the typical progression. However, the transition from the body to the head is distinctly different. It makes me wonder—could the second and third traits be blending together? As it continues to grow, I’m eager to see how this evolves.

The same pattern appears on the other side as well. The third trait hasn’t fully broken through the second trait yet, giving it a unique mix of both colors.

One thing is certain: the beautiful pattern it had at birth is holding strong as it matures. Just beyond the crown, the uneven, textured markings on its body suggest that this baby may have inherited some of the distinctive traits of the Barb bloodline. I can’t wait to see how it continues to develop!
